Window shutters

Timeless Style and Practical Design

Shutters are the perfect shade solution for so many windows because of their timeless style and practical design. Unlike curtains which can only be drawn open or closed, the folding louvres found on shutters allow you to adjust the amount of light that enters a room whilst simultaneously forming a visible barrier to the outside world. This enables you to light a room to your taste whilst maintaining privacy.

We offer a wide variety of shutter styles with various options for customisation, so whatever your interior, we will be able to pair your windows with some shutters that perfectly suit your home.

Look below to see our different styles and material options.

Styles

Whether you’re after a modern look or something more traditional, we have plenty of styles to choose from. Have a browse of our different options to get inspired and perhaps find the perfect solution for your home.

Full height

With shutter panels that span the full height of your window, this style offers a crisp, minimal look with ease of use.

Tier-on-tier

Dividing your window into two tiers of folding panels; this style offers you more flexibility in terms of light control and privacy.

Café style

Café style shutters cover the lower section of your window to give you street level privacy whilst letting in plenty of light.

Solid Panel

Available in our Fiji material, these shutters are built from the highest quality solid hardwood in a traditional style.

Track System

Outline drawing of a large, slide-closet with four sections, featuring horizontal louvered doors.

An excellent choice for balcony doors, room dividers and large rectangular windows, a track system guides large full height panels in either a byfolding or bypassing format.

Materials

We offer a versatile range of different shutter materials, each designed to accommodate specific function, styling and cost considerations. Have a look below for more information about our materials.

Customisation

There is plenty of opportunity to customise your shutters be it a visual alteration or an additional practical feature. Look below to see our customisation options.

Custom Colour

For our Bermuda, Java, Cuba and Fiji shutters you have the option of choosing a custom colour.

Perhaps you want to match your shutters to an existing colour in your interior, or maybe you just want to add a burst of colour to your home.

Having the option to choose a custom colour means you don’t have to compromise; you have the ultimate control over the look of your shutters.

Offset and Silent tilt rods

As standard, our shutter panels feature a centrally mounted tilt rod to operate the louvres but you can also choose from offset or silent tilt rods.

Offset rods are simply positioned to the left or the right of the panel centre for a different style but operate in the same way as central mounted rods.

Silent tilt rods perform the same job as mounted rods from inside the shutter panel. Each louvre is connected to an internal mechanism so you can simply move one to move them all.

For a traditional look, central or offset tilt rods are ideal, but if you’re after a more sleek, modern style then you might want to consider the option of having silent tilt rods for your shutters.

Louvre size

The louvre sizes we offer include 47mm, 63mm, 76mm, 89mm and 114mm.

Smaller sizes will give your window more privacy whilst larger louvres will let in more light.

Your choice of louvre size is based on preference, but is also dependent on your choice of material and any practical limitations of your window.

Its important to note that large louvre sizes aren’t appropriate for every window. For some windows they have the potential to collide with window handles.

As such, our team will be able to assess any practical limitations and guide you through the best options for your window to avoid any issues.

Room-darkening blind

Though our standard shutters are excellent at darkening a room, some light will naturally filter through small gaps between the louvres and panels. Ideal for most rooms, but for some situations you might want to block out more light.

Shutters with an integrated room-darkening blind give you the best performance in light reduction. They have the same appearance and functionality as our standard shutters but also feature a blind that sits within the frame, between the window and shutters. Essentially the frame and the blind create a sealed unit to minimize gaps for light to squeeze through.

Even during the middle of the day, you can close your blind to create a calm environment for sleeping.

Our room-darkening blinds are available for our Antigua, Bermuda, Cuba and Fiji shutter materials and come in twenty different colours.

PowerMotion shutters

With PowerMotion shutters you can easily control your shutter louvres remotely to dial in the perfect amount of lighting throughout the day.

Operated by a simple remote system and powered by a discrete, rechargeable battery, you can switch between eight different louvre positions.

These shutters are a brilliant choice for any customer who appreciates the ease of use but in particular, they are ideal for tall windows where shutters may be hard to reach.

They also have a clever safety feature by which the internal motors are disengaged when obstructed, making them safe for children.

PowerMotion shutters are available in Antigua, Bermuda, Cuba and Fiji materials and don’t come with mounted tilt rods.
